Milwaukee Beach Engagement Session

This gorgeous windy Milwaukee beach engagement session at Bay View Park Beach is extra special! Claire is one of my best friends. We’ve been friends for ten years now, since college at UW-Milwaukee and I’ll actually be in her wedding next year. She sent us a group text to announce Andrew had popped the question on their trip up north and we immediately planned for photos!

With Milwaukee being their favorite city, we wanted to find a mix of city + natural elements. Bay View Park Beach is a beautiful little beach with a walking + bike path along Lake Michigan. It’s located on the edge Bay View, just north of St. Francis and is quite a gem. It has a long stretch of beach, but also has an incredible view of the Milwaukee skyline. Claire + Andrew also share a home in Bay View, so this was the perfect location for their Milwaukee beach engagement photos!

Claire and Andrew are literally always so much fun. Every time we hangout we have a blast, so their engagement session was no exception! We spent the evening running around on the beach and then hopped in our cars and headed just up the road. As the sun set, we stopped at South Shore Park for a few photos on the rocks. We finished up just as the boats rolled in the bay and the city lights began to light up the coast.

We were the only ones in sight for their Milwaukee beach engagement session – probably because it was HELLA windy, but I ain’t mad. The wind makes for incredible gorgeous movement in your images and of course, a lot of laughs. Thank you both for letting me celebrate this beautiful time in your lives with you and take your photos!
