Oh man – where do I start with this one? Jess & Kevin were married at Rustic Manor 1848 – an adorable new barn perfect for a fall wedding in Wisconsin. It was perfectly intimate with the ceremony held up in the gorgeous loft above the event space. When I saw they had gotten engaged in Italy, I knew I had to be their photographer for their wedding! I congratulated them of course, and sure enough, they inquired and I was ecstatic.

I’ve known Kevin since Freshman year in the Cambridge dorms at UW-Milwaukee (oh god, what a time), only to find we went to high-schools one town over from each other. We stayed friends throughout the years and I ended up going to a music festival in Illinois that I’d heard about. I planned on going the next year and found out Kevin was in as a year-round Summer Camp (Music Festival) “Counselor” – which is basically a rep for the fest using your music/video/writing/etc skills to not only cover the festival, but to be somewhat of a guide to the festival goers, answering questions, writing blog posts, etc. The next year, I WAS IN! I now work every Memorial Day Weekend with Kevin in our group of counselors creating amazing media coverage of amazing bands, DJs and other artists (seriously check it out!) all weekend long. This is part of why I was so honored they chose ME to be such a huge part of their day!

It was a bit rainy throughout the day, but I was sure to get Jess her wedding party portraits AND have a significant amount of time for portraits of just the two of them. After dinner we danced the night away in the two story dance floor!
