This is DEFINITELY a day I had been waiting for for a WHILE. I’ve known Andrew since 2012 and Lauren since about 2015? They have grown SO much during that time as individual humans and together in the last few short years. Lauren & Andrew were married at Oak Hill in Apple Hill, IL (which is just 19mi outside Galena, IL). It was perfectly rustic complete with vintage barn, schoolhouse, and even a country store. The day started at an AMAZING brand new AirBnB on Main St. in Galena (owned by Elle & Beck’s which is right in the space below it!). It was white, bright and classic but totally modern and elegant at the same time (PS I HIGHLY suggest renting an AirBnB for getting ready!!! More on that later)! After hair and makeup, we headed to the venue. Lauren and the girls got dressed on the upper floors of the barn house, while Andrew and the guys got ready on the secluded lower level. Then it was time to do the damn thing!

Lauren was picked up in a horse-drawn carriage and brought to the “Path of Pines” where she walked to meet Andrew and their guests. Outdoor ceremonies are soooo gorgeous and this was no exception. The weather was absolutely perfect. Following were cocktails and hors d’oeuvres outside the old schoolhouse. Dinner and dancing was held in a beautiful outdoor tent (which again, is literally perfect for photos). The head table was STUNNING, lined with amazing florals from the amazing Valley Perennials. I had to be sure to sneak them back out to the enchanted “Path of Pines” for a few more portraits under the glowing string lights before finishing off the night with some sweet treats from Wedding Day Bakery and some late-night gelato they brought in from Elle & Beck’s in downtown Galena! It was truly a magical night for two truly magical human beings <3
