Best Beaches in Milwaukee For Your Engagement Session
Where are the best beaches in Milwaukee for your engagement session? The beach is one of my most favorite places for photos – in Milwaukee, the US, and across the world! Today I’m sharing some location secrets and showcasing the best beaches in Milwaukee for your engagement session! Here are my FAVORITE beaches and lake spots around the city!
First up is one of my absolute favorites – Bay View Park Beach!
It has a LOT of beach for you to walk and run along, has a hard-to-beat view of the beautiful Milwaukee Skyline, and you usually don’t encounter too many people. This is definitely in my top two! Check out Claire + Andrew’s Bay View Park Beach engagement session here.
Second is Lakeshore State Park
You get a SUPER gorgeous, close-up view of the Milwaukee Skyline AND a park-like setting, RIGHT on the lake! You can also usually find decent parking which is also a huge plus.
Next up, South Shore Park
With a nearby beer garden and those large Lake Michigan rocks, you can watch the boats come in on the bay. This is a perfect spot to hang out, day or night!
Then we have Doctor’s Park
A bit north of Milwaukee, in Fox Point – Doctor’s Park is HARD to beat in autumn. The last few years, the beach has receded a bit, but it certainly hasn’t lost it’s beauty. There amount of beach to walk on varies, but you can always see the water and walk the many paths throughout the rest of the park while enjoying those monstrous maples!
Last, but definitely not least is Atwater Beach!
Atwater has been elevated the last couple of years with a new boardwalk, small park + sculpture area, and benches and umbrellas to hang out under. It recently also became ADA accessible which is really great too. Keep in mind that it is quite a walk to the bottom and back up to the top, even if you’re perfectly in shape. Atwater can get prettttty busy in the summer months, but it’s usually super clean and always a beautiful view!
Milwaukee is FULL of great locations for your engagement session but there’s certainly something about Lake Michigan.
